Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4: 8 Behind every attitude, lies false or truthful information. The measure of false or truthful information we have determines the level of our bondage or freedom. The information you have has power over your attitudes, emotions, feelings and reactions. For this reason we must sensor what we hear that it may serve us well in time when we need it. Many people are after positive results in their lives but they are not willing to do what it takes to get the results they what. They set their eyes on the result without considering the changes they need to do to obtain those results. Some one once said, “We are what we eat”. This is very true as regards to attitudes. The attitudes we develop in life are mostly dependant on what we have exposed ourselves to. When you keep hearing fear and hate, soon you will become and react to situations according to what you heard. What you hear has an influence in you actions and attitudes. Therefore, if you are going to change the results you see in your life, you have to first change the things you expose yourself to hear. Scripture says faith comes by hearing and by hearing the word of God , Rom 10:17. The word of faith is characterized with the list of virtues mentioned in the opening scripture. The Word of God is truthful, its honest, its just, pure, lovely and of good encouraging reports of testimonies. When you expose yourself to hearing and practicing these virtues of faith, you are bound to change your attitude towards life situations and you will consequently change the results in your life. Also, the attitudes in us determine how people relate to us. They determine how we approach situations in your life. When these attitudes are not refined to handle situations, you will have regrets in you life. However, when your attitudes are well developed through the word of Faith, in a way that they reflect faith, truth, peace, love, hope, then your attitudes will attract people towards you and you will inevitably inspire positive results in your life. Therefore, give yourself to hearing the word of faith. Let the word of faith build you up from in within. Until you are honest, no one will be honest with you. Until you are truthful, no one will be truthful to you. The environment you have allowed in you is what will surround you. So be positive that you may obtain positive results. Prayer Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for your word. I pray my heart is open to the word of Faith. I pray I grow in the knowledge of the virtues in your word. I pray things of a good report; things of honesty, love and joy find my life in Jesus name. Amen.
