“Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing…” (Genesis 12:1-3)
Many people are limited in their progress in life because they value themselves according to their skills, level of education and the background of their natural family. So if no one has ever been successful in their family, they also consider themselves failures. God forbid.
I always hear people that say, ‘‘for us in our family, we have never been able to see good days.'' My friend, if you are a born Again Christian, I want to remind you that you belong to a blessed heritage, a blessed family - the family of God; you have broken the mould. So think Generational Blessings.
its important for a believer to get out of the thinking that blurs ones vision for greater things. Until one steps out of the usual kind of thinking that captivate the mind to think according to the limits in the ability of skills or in the ability of your natural family, it is hard to see the blessings of God. For God to bless this 75 year old man, Abram, He had to change his way of thinking.
COMING SOON........
He had to take Abram away from the things that have contributed to his low self esteem. When God spoke to Abram, which is interpreted as "assumed father", he was already on his way to Canaan the promised land but Abram was still dwelling in his father's company (Gen 11:31). As much as a place may hinder your breakthrough, changing your thinking and that which influences the thinking is of great importance.
God had to take Abram away, not only from a place, but from the people that had contributed to his thinking that he is only an assumed father. Time came that he had to separate from Lot his nephew. Some times in life, you have to change your friends to change your thinking. You have to change who you tell your secrets to.
The bible says, ''wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.'' 1 Corinthians 6:16-17. Until you step out of a mind-set that has been influenced by the world you live in, your result will not change much.
You must step out of the confinement that has held you back and believe God for the unusual. If you do the usual, expect a usual outcome. But as you do the unusual expect the unusual. Seek for the Lord more, increase your Church attendance, and do more than the usual. Step out of your norms and let God guide you. Change your confession, Change your talk, and you life will evidently reveal the change you speak.
